Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryINA LARSON April 29, 1908 - April 26, 2000 Mrs. Ina Larson, aged 91 years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 26, 2000 at the Pinawa Hospital. She will be sadly missed by her children, Lennart (Isabel) Larson, Elizabeth (Alvin) Tyndall, Richard Larson; daughters-in-law, Joan Larson and Yvonne (Don) Powell; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, special friends and neighbours, who will forever remember a special "Granny". Ina was predeceased by her husband Emil Larson, daughter Audrey Soroko and family; son Roland Larson and her special angel granddaughter Lynn Larson. Ina was born in Sweden and came to Canada with her family when she was three years old. She lived her entire life in Brookfield, which was always home to her. She lived a very simple life which we can all learn from, it included hard work, kindness and never complaining about her troubles, her losses or her pain. Everyone was welcomed into her house. She was quick to set another plate at the table, and truly enjoyed offering coffee, cookies or dinner to anyone who happened by. Her greatest loves were her family, her garden and a good cup of coffee. She is well remembered carding and spinning wool for socks and mitts, working in her greenhouse and bustling in her kitchen. All her family was sure to have a birthday cake, which she never forgot. Her grandchildren were given wool quilts when they were married. In the later years, she ensured all the grandchildrens quilts were made and given, just in case they didnt get married. She was calm and comforting to be around, and went to great lengths to put everyone else first. She has given to us all far more than words can express and, all who knew her will never forget her. She was tired and it was time for her to leave us, but she most certainly has left this world a better place because she was in it. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday April 29 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue E. Beausejour, with Pastor Mac Dumcum officiating. "Mother dear mother when I think of you, I want to be all that is kind that is true, all that is worthy, noble or grand has come from you mother, with your guiding hand". In lieu of flowers and in keeping with what Granny would want, please plant a flower for yourself. Plant it, nurture it and enjoy it. This would make her the happiest.
