VERNA ROSE SANCHE (nee Bourbonniere) Peacefully, at the St. Boniface Hospital on April 24, 2000, the Lord took Verna Sanche, beloved wife of Fernando, to His heavenly home at the age of 76. Mom was born May 4, 1923 and married Fern, the love of her life, on May 18, 1946. Their marriage and love blossomed for 54 years. Devotion to their love and family was the focus of their life. Verna leaves to mourn her loving husband Fernando; children, Pat (Ed), Alice (Peter), Paul (Michelle), Daniel, Michelle and Marc (Jo-Anne) her grandchildren, Nicole (Albert), Lisa (Dave), Christine (Aaron), Ryan, Rory, Joelle, Jared, Ryan, Jordan, Jenna-Dee; her great-grandchildren, Travis, Justin, and Dylan, as well as many relatives and dear friends. The family would like to express their thanks for all the prayers and support during her illness, including the compassionate care of the staff at St. Boniface Hospital. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 29 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Parish, 820 Cottonwood Rd., with Fr. Fred Olds presiding. Interment of cremated remains to follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
