GORDON ROBERT CROOKS Passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on March 27, 2000. Gordon was born on February 21, 1927. Gordon was predeceased by his parents, Anna and James Crooks, his brother Bill, an infant brother Herbert, and brother-in-law John P. Vernon. Gordon is survived by his sister Mrs. Bernice Vernon, and two nephews, Bob and John Vernon all of Victoria, B.C., sister-in-law Joyce of Winnipeg, as well as several cousins. He was employed for 40 years with the City of Winnipeg Water Works Department. He was also a member of King Edward Masonic Lodge, Khartum Temple Shrine, the Order of the Eastern Star (Jeptha Chapter), the Royal Arch Masons and the Corps of St. Johns Ambulance. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Bill Bates of St. Margarets Anglican Church, at the Elmwood Cemetery on Wednesday, May 3 at 2:00 p.m.
