Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJERRY THOMAS RICER With deep sorrow the family announce the passing of Jerry Thomas Ricer, age 63 years, beloved husband, father and grandfather at the Health Sciences Centre on April 27, 2000. Jerry was predeceased by his loving mother Nettie. He will be sadly missed by his wife Frances; four children, Marie, Jill, Teresa and David; four grandchildren, Brandi, Jasmine, Devin and Serine; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Jerry was born in Winnipeg January 25, 1937. He was employed at the CNR as a machinist until he took early retirement in 1993. Jerry spent four years in the U.S. Marines, returning to Winnipeg where he achieved the Mr. Manitoba title in 1965 and the 10,001 sit-ups record, Tin Man Triathlon and numerous other athletic achievements. Special thanks to Dr. Vanameyde and the staff of the Rehab, 5th floor, and homecare for all their care, kindness and compassion. Cremation has taken place and there will be a Memorial Service on Tuesday, May 2 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Luxton Avenue. Inurnment will follow the service at Elmwood Cemetery. Jerry will always be remembered for his crazy sense of humour and his great ability to laugh. He was a very caring father.
