MARTIN BOYKO Peacefully in the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 26, 2000, Martin Boyko passed away, a day after his 75th Birthday, at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg. Upon his return, he worked in Churchill, returning to Winnipeg where he made his home. Martin worked for various construction companies, the last being Perrna Structures where he retired as foreman in 1989. Martin was a member of the St. James Legion, Branch No. 4. Martin enjoyed many happy days at Winnipeg Beach where he made friends and puttered around the cottage. The lake was a special place for Martin. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the St. James Legion, Branch No. 4, 1755 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0E6, in memory of Martin; or a donation of your time, an act of kindness such as a smile or a helping hand, a short visit or a "chit chat" with a war veteran would be appreciated. Uncle Martin was proud to be a war veteran, proud to be a member of the Legion, and proud to have served our country so that we could have a better place to live. Rest in peace, Uncle Martin.
