Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA PETERS Anna Peters was born in Southern Russia on January 8, 1905, to Leonard and Maria Peters, the third of nine children. She passed away on April 28, 2000, at the Grunthal Menno Home, reaching the age of 95 years. Anna is survived by one sister Sara and husband Nick Janz; three nieces and one nephew and their families, Rose (Ernest) Froese and their children, Sandra and son Travis, Janice, Sheldon (Stacy) Elsie (Mark) Molloy and children, Jennifer, Allison and daughter Emma; Sally (John) Krahn and children, Gennivieve, Becky, Josh and Amy; Leonard (Hermina) and children, Jessica, Luc, Joe and Megan. She is also survived by her cousin John (Margaret) Friesen and their family, Sharon (Craig) Glys and children, Matthew and Daniel; Elaine (Bob) Zacharias and children, Wyatt and Hailey; Irene (Rick) Yaltis and children, Stephanie and Bryan, Nancy (Brad) Vokey and children, Alex and Sierra. Anna came to Canada with her family at the age of 18 years, and spent most of her adult life in the Glenlea area, farming with her brother. In the early 1970s they retired and moved to Kleefeld. When her brother passed away in 1983, she moved to the units in Grunthal, where she remained till January, 2000 and recently moved to the Menno Home. Here she received excellent care, for which the family is very grateful. She will be sadly missed by all of us. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 2 at 2:00 p.m. at the Elim Mennonite Church in Grunthal, with Rev. John Friesen and Rev. Nick Janz officiating. Interment will follow in the Grunthal Cemetery. Friends may pay their last respects on Monday, May 1, 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Loewen Funeral Chapel, #12 Hwy. South, Steinbach, and at the church prior to the service. Arrangements entrusted to Loewen Funeral Chapel, Steinbach. (204) 326-1351.
