DOMENICO CANTAFIO Peacefully, at the Maples Personal Care Home, on Thursday, April 27, 2000, with his family by his side, Domenico Cantafio passed away at the age of 93 years. Domenico was born in Amato, Italy. He was predeceased by his wife Caterina who died in 1994. He was a self-employed shoe maker until his retirement. He leaves to mourn three sons, Ralph (Alma) of Vernon, B.C., Alfred (Connie), Frank (Eva) of Vernon B.C.; grandchildren, John (Susan), Janice Renaud (Al), Michael (Buffie), Tina (Doug), Selena Clifford (Glen), Tania, and Mark; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Jodi, Tyler, Lisa, Tracy, Cody, Cassidy, Madison and Colton; brother Roberto (Concetta) as well as nieces, nephews to numerous to mention. Prayers will be said on Sunday, April 30, at 7: 00 p.m. in Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Rd. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 1 at 10:00 a.m. also in the church, with Rev. Fr. Luigi Amadio presiding. Interment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Cantafio, Mark Cantafio, Michael Cantafio, Doug Porteous, Domenico Caligiuri, Ralph Caligiuri, Frank Caligiuri and Tom Scerbo. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff at the Maples Personal Care Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, 205 Edmonton St., Winnipeg, Man., R3C 1R4.
