CHARLES JOHN WILCOX Peacefully on Sunday, April 30, 2000, Charlie John Wilcox passed away at the Brandon General Hospital, Brandon, Man. at the age of 87 years, beloved husband of Mabel Wilcox (nee Ridley). Charlie was born October 3, 1912 in the Boyne Creek District, Holland, Man. where he farmed for a number of years before retiring to Brandon, taking up golf and being a regular on the Manitoba Horse Racing Circuit. Charlie is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mabel Wilcox (nee Ridley) of Brandon; two daughters, Patsy and husband Reg Higo of Richmond, B.C. and Karen and husband Norval Lipsett of Bedford, N.S.; three grandchildren, Chris, Keree and Dawn Lipsett. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Nellie Wilcox (nee Brewer) and one sister earlier this year, Georgina and husband Jack LaBelle of Parksville, B.C. Funeral Service will be conducted from the Holland United Church, Holland, Man. on Tuesday, May 2 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Brookdale Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Charlies memory to the Holland United Church Memorial Fund, Holland, Man., R0G 0X0 or to a charity of ones choice.
