EDNA TAGGART (nee CHRISTIE) It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, on Monday, May 1, 2000 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Edna was born May 12, 1914 in Winnipeg and resided here for her entire life. She was a loving wife and mother. Mom had a generous heart, good sense of humour and enjoyed life to the fullest. Her home was always open to relatives and friends. She excelled in cooking and loved to entertain family and friends. Some of her joys in life were dancing, bowling, camping, playing poker and crib, going to Las Vegas with Dad and travelling with friends on bus tours. Mom was a great sports fan and enjoyed watching all sports on TV. Her wisdom and knowledge of past and present events always inspired and entertained family and friends. Mom was predeceased by her beloved husband Bill, her parents and sister Effie. Mom will be forever remembered by her family, son Bill and daughter Linda (Maternick). Left to cherish her memory are grandchildren, Lisa (Dennis) Dara (Keith), Dave (Mel), Tracy (Ryan), Derek, Bryson and great-grandchildren, Crimson and Nicholas; niece Fran and family. all of Winnipeg; nephew Jim and family of Edmonton. To respect Moms wish, no service will be held. Cremation has taken place. The family would like to thank all the care givers, especially Renette, for their wonderful care and understanding during Moms illness. We would also like to express our appreciation for the excellent care and compassion given by her family physician, Dr. A. Rothova and the staff at Concordia Hospital and Seven Oaks Hospital. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a memorial donation to the Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg R2L 1X3, or to a charity of your choice. Make the most of happy days and thank God for them all. Make the most of sunny hours before the shadows fall. Make the most of every scrap of good that comes your way. Enjoy it and be thankful at the ending of the day. Make the most of what you learn with every passing year. Do your best by those you love and help them while theyre here. All too swiftly time goes by, so value every bit. Take life as it comes to you and make the most of it. Rest in peace, Mom. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331
