Dear Dad, It has been 23 years since you passed away. We miss you terribly. Your kind smile & your great stories & wonderful laugh. You taught me to be a good person & could strike up a conversation with anyone, showing them respect & kindness & interest in what they had to say. You worked so very hard to provide for all of us. Thank you. You are always in our hearts forever near & dear. Love Katherine & Todd - Posted by: Katherine Armstrong (Daughter ) on: Apr 30, 2023

Gosh it has been 22 years since you have checked my oil, and lectured me about getting those gas receipts to you. Miss you so much. I had a dream a few months ago and you were in it... there was a dance and I showed up in a white shirt with blue jean coveralls and you came up to me and said you should wear the red skirt with your white shirt. Well I don't own a red skirt so I went out and bought one the other day. Just need to know why? - Posted by: Carol Turko. (Daughter) on: Oct 19, 2022

Dear Dad; sure wish we could turn back time because I have so much to say to you and discuss with you. You always listened and didn't get mad at me and gave me your very best advice (even though you knew I would do it my way anyways !!). You were my "go to guy", my "Father" and my friend. You made us all laugh with your funny stories. Scott had fun making you check my oil every time I came home. Wesley sure thought of you like a Dad, do you remember him calling you 'Poppy". So glad you and Momma took me, Scott and Wesley into your home for a time, we felt loved. I learnt so much about you and about people when I worked with you in Flin Flon and Thompson hauling that semi load of vegetables to the northern cities. You were such a hard worker. I was proud that you were in the papers as the very first person to do this. I remember having to take a taxi all by myself (think I was about 14 ish) to city hall to get a business license... I got to go right to the mayor's office..he was interested in what we did and I had to say that I was a farmer's girl and those were all our veggies.... sorry Dad but the mayor didn't buy it as he smiled nicely and patted me on the head. Me and Susie went together on one trip and we sure laughed alot, had so many happy memories of that trip and laughed and laughed when we had to keep an eye on the ladies so they didn't squeeze the ripe tomatoes too hard, and then when we were under the semi trailer peeling back the ears of corn to check if any were rotten and no one knew where the squeaking sound was coming from but me an Susie and we laughed some more.. so much but can't say it all. Thanks for all the times you bailed me out of trouble and for all the times when the money wasn't there and you just knew I needed help (winter jackets for the kids etc..), thanks for babysitting for me, thanks for listening to me even though like you said I was going to do it my way anyways, thanks for working so hard all your life to provide for us... even today I am reaping the benefits. Mom sure did a great job in making sure there was a nice inheritance for us all...... by now you will know that Momma left us a couple of years ago. We miss her terribly, but so glad you both are together now. Well got to go. Love Carol Ann - Posted by: Carol Quesnel (Turko) (daughter) on: Jan 31, 2014
