JEAN MARGARET "PEARL" WILLIMENT (nee Foster) On April 29, 2000, after a short illness, Pearl Williment passed away in the loving arms of her family at the age of 73 years. Pearl was predeceased by her daughter Marlene; granddaughter Kimberly; mother Violet; father Walter; sisters, Eleanor and Edith and brother Gilbert. She will be lovingly missed by her husband Elmer; son Dwayne (Ellen) brother Gordon (Florence) Foster; grandchildren, Cari (Wayne) Bezan, Brad (Cindy) Klippel, Kathleen (Jose) Mira and great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Rhiannon, Summer and Allison. Pearl was born on January 3, 1927 in Winnipeg. She spent her childhood years as on a small family farm near the community of Deerwood, Man. She later moved to Winnipeg, where she worked for the C.P.R. telegraph, delivering messages on her bike. Pearl spent many years at Langside Service as an attendant and finished her last 17 working years as a groomer for Canadian Airlines. Retirement saw Pearl enjoying gardening and crocheting. She liked going to bingo and playing VLTs. Pearl was also a traveller, taking many memorable trips to Hawaii and Las Vegas with her family and friends. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy. Pearl was a loving, thoughtful person who never put herself first and her smiling face will be sadly missed. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 3 from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Avenue. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 4 at 2:00 p.m., also in the chapel with Rev. Bob Gilbert officiating. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery.
