UTH ELLEN BOYDA Peacefully, with family by her side, Mom went to heaven on April 29, 2000 at Oakview Place, at the age of 85 years. Predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Stephen, April 14, 1997; son Richard, March 22, 1998; son-in-law Frank Pokornik, January 7, 1997 and grandchild Ronald Joseph McCaughan, September 19, 1959. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her children, Margaret Pokornik, Jack (Rhoda), Brenda (Cec) McCaughan, Jim (Marlene), Billy (Linda), David (Sheila), Elaine (Greg) Shaak; Moms brother Bill (Pat) Latta, and five generations of grandchildren. Special thank-you to Oakview Place for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, Man., R3C 0S6 or the Kidney Foundation of Canada, 200 - 55 Donald St., Winnipeg, Man., R3C 1L8. A celebration of Moms life will be held Thursday, May 4 at 4:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with Major Donald Maye officiating, followed by a gathering of family and friends in the Reception Centre.
