RUTH LORRAINE PAULS Peacefully, on May 1, 2000, Ruth Lorraine Pauls, aged 82. Ruth was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Leon Aaron Pauls, who died in 1991. She is survived and mourned by her son Brian Pauls and wife Jeanne; daughter Jacqueline Schwartz and husband Hilly and her beloved grandchildren, Bradley, Sigesmund, Lainie Sigesmund, David Pauls, Rachel Pauls and husband Cory Pollock and Debbie Pauls. Ruth Pauls was a charming and charismatic woman of great beauty, a kind and generous wife, mother and grandmother. She was perennially young and vibrant, quick-witted and possessed a wonderful sense of humour. It seems unimaginable that age could ever wither her "infinite variety". For the past several years, Ruth was blessed by the boundless affection of her new partner, William (Bill) Landes, sharing her life with a dear and loving companion and with a new family. She will be greatly missed by Bill; his children, Estelle Rosenberg (Bernard), Les Landes (Diane) and George Landes (Shirley) seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The families would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital, specifically to the Dialysis Unit, 4A South and 5B Medicine. The funeral will take place at Shaarey Zedek Synagogue on Wednesday, May 3 at 1:00 p.m. Shiva will be observed at 807 Oak St.
