LEONA CORA CHILTON (nee BERTHELETTE) On May 3, 2000, with great courage and dignity our mother (mom) Leona went home to our Lord. Mom was predeceased by her husband Bill and son Jim. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Bill (Bonnie), Doug (Tammy), Lester (Karen), Charles (Dianne), Len (Corrine), Dan and Ben (Terri) and daughters Laverne and Brenda (Ron). Nanny will be greatly missed by her twelve grandchildren; her five great grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces and numerous friends. Mom was born in Marchand, Man. on April 20, 1922. Leona has spent the last 30 years at her home in Lester Beach, Man., where she enjoyed her beautiful flowers, fishing, working in her yard, her poodles, berry-picking, and bingo nights with the girls. Cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6 in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway.
