Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFLORENCE MARGARET GLUFKA (NICHOLL) After a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, Florence Glufka passed away peacefully on May 2, 2000 at the Shuswap Lake General Hospital in Salmon Arm, B.C. Florence is survived by her children, Sydney (Alice) Glufka, Noreen (Paul) Murray and Andrea (Derek) Coyle; nine grandchildren, Richard Glufka, Michael Glufka, Roger (Heather) Glufka, Rosita Glufka, Roberta Glufka, Stephen (Marianne) Glufka, Gerald (Denise) Murray, Alanna (Todd) Vanderhyde, Brian Murray; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Florence was predeceased by her husband Mike in 1982 and her sister, Eva Weir in 1989. Florence was born to William and Florence Nicholl in Roland, Manitoba on September 29, 1917. She and Mike moved to Winnipeg in 1974. Florence was employed at The University of Manitoba from 1977 until her retirement in 1986. She enjoyed two major trips; touring Europe in the late 1970s and visiting her ancestral home and family in Ireland in 1983. She lived in Manitoba until she moved to Salmon Arm in 1998. Funeral Service will be held from Doyles Funeral Chapel in Carman, Manitoba on Monday, May 8, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Larstone officiating. Interment will take place in the family plot in the Greenwood Cemetery, Carman. Doyles of Carman in care of arrangements.
