Offer Condolences or MemoryTHERESA BERNADETTE TINNEY (TERRY) Peacefully, on Monday, May 1, 2000, Terry passed away at the Deer Lodge Centre. Theresa was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on April 18, 1915 to Francis J. Boland and Brigid Harney. She moved to England in 1921, and settled in Canterbury, Kent. Terry married Pat Tinney on August 27, 1945 and moved to Canada September 1, 1946. Left to mourn are her three children, Brigid (Edward) Gibbons, Mal (Kim) and Michael; eight grandchildren, Kathleen Jelinek, Margaret (Scott) Mills, Christopher and Lawrence Gibbons, Shawn Lee Tinney, James Patrick Tinney, Patrick and Sean Tinney; four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Marcella Jelinek, Emily and Stuart Mills. She was predeceased by her husband Pat in September, 1976. Terry worked many years for The T. Eaton Co. in stamps and coins, and The Hudson Bay Co. in books. She loved reading, gardening, camping, travelling, knitting, and in later years touring Europe. She was a lifetime member of the Catholic Womens League and The Royal Canadian Legion, Womens Auxiliary. A private family service was held on Thursday, May 4, 2000. Interment followed in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made in Terrys memory to: Patient Trust Fund, care of Unit Co-ordinator E.
