YVES KERBRAT March 24, 1924 - May 4, 2000 It is with great sorrow that we must accept the passing of our much loved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend Yves. Suddenly on May 4, 2000 at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital, Eriksdale with his dear and loving family at his side, Yves passed into eternal life. Yves was predeceased by his parents, Herve and Marie Anne Kerbrat; sister Marie Paule; son-in-law Philippe Thioux. Surviving are his wife Christiane of 53 years; only daughter Gabrielle Thioux of Winnipeg; five sons, Laurent (Barbara), Marcel (Carol), Andre (Claudia), Alain (Marie), Henri of St. Laurent; grandchildren, Tammy, Herve, Nicole, Danielle, Denise, Richard, Ronald, Christian, Cindy, Karl, Rodney; great-grandchildren, Scott, Randi, Rayne, Mattea, Bowin and Jonah; Yves two brothers, Father Dominique of Winnipeg, Jean (Helene) of Humbolt, Sask.; his sisters, Anna Marie (Romuald) Perrault of St. Laurent, Rosalie Sasnow of Winnipeg, Clothilde (Alfred) Del Rizzo of Calgary, Marie-Jeanne Guillou (Yves) of Winnipeg, Angeline (Otto) Wolfgang of Lethbridge, Helene McPherson of Agassez, B.C.; numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Born in St. Laurent, Yves and Christiane operated a dairy farm in St. Laurent for 43 years. Yves was actively involved in community services such as the Sports Committee, Reeve of St. Laurent for 10 years and the parish pastoral council. Yves was very compassionate towards his grandchildren and especially his great-grandchildren, he could never say no. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 8 at the St. Laurent Roman Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. and viewing will be held at 10:30 a.m. His brother, Father Dominique and Father Isaie Blanchette O.M.I. will officiate at the service. The pallbearers will be grandchildren, Herve, Richard, Ronald, Christian, Karl and Rodney. The family wishes to express thanks to the ambulance attendants of St. Laurent and the nursing staff and Dr. Burnett of Eriksdale Hospital.
