Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWERNER EPP Peacefully on Friday, May 5, 2000, at the Concordia Hospital, surrounded by family, Werner passed away at the age of 52 years. Werner will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Anne; daughter Pamela of Winnipeg. Besides his wife and daughter, Werner is survived by his brothers, David (Sara), Henry (Gerri) and sisters, Helen (Werner Warkentin), Margaret (John Blatz), Mary (Ernie Falk) and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents David and Margaret Epp. Werner was born in Winnipeg on February 26, 1948, and grew up on a dairy farm in Grunthal, Man. He was a teacher by profession and loved his work. He taught mainly in the Winnipeg School Division #1, where he made many friends among his fellow teachers. Werner was baptized upon the confession of his faith in 1970 and was a member of the German Choir as well as the Mens Octet. He was also briefly a member of the Faith and Life Male Choir until illness prevented him from using his beautiful tenor voice. Werner was a loving husband, father and friend. He loved gardening, sports of all kinds, reading and music. A special hobby was carpentry; ten years ago he was able to fulfil a dream of his when he designed and helped construct the family home. He spent many happy hours gardening and landscaping there. The funeral services for Werner will take place on Tuesday, May 9, at 11:00 a.m. at the Douglas Mennonite Church, 1517 Rothesay St. Viewing will be held at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Glen Eden Cemetery. Should friends so desire, donations can be made to Faith and Life Communications or a charity of their choice.
