Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMABEL (DOLLY) BENNETT Peacefully, on May 4, 2000, Mabel (Dolly) Bennett passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital after a brief illness. Predeceased by her parents James Bennett and Mary Donald, 12 siblings, one grandson, one great-grandson and one niece. Mabel will be lovingly remembered by her son James Lee and wife Helen; her daughter Ruth Shrutwa; brother Charles Bennett of Calgary; 11 grandchildren and their spouses, 20 great-grandchildren, one great niece, very special granddaughter, friend, and loving companion Ellen Shrutwa. Dolly was born in Winnipeg on February 21, 1911 and spent her life in Winnipeg, Gonor and Lockport during her younger years. She moved to Calgary in 1948 and began a career in the market gardening trade. She retired in 1971 and moved back home to Winnipeg. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 10 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue with Pastor Bruce Martin officiating. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Viewing will be at Cropo Funeral Chapel, on Tuesday, May 9 between 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thanks for the Dance, Gramma, Love Ellen Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements 586-8044
