JOHN HAUSER On May 6, 2000, John Hauser, of Winnipeg, passed away at Victoria Hospital at the age of 83 years. John was born in Winnipeg, October 31, 1916 and attended Anna Gibson, Lord Selkirk and St. Johns High School. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Amy; brother Philip and sister Betty. He is survived by his sister Katherine Clinton; nephews, Bruce Hauser, John Schultz; nieces, June Zeivel, Carol Hauser and Gail Osted. John was an employee of Swifts for over 40 years, retiring in 1979. He served in the R.C.A.F. during the Second World War. He was a long-standing member of the Every Second Tuesday Morning Breakfast Club, where he made many friendships. John had a kind caring nature, sense of humour and enjoyed music, travel and golf. He especially enjoyed his many summers spent at the cottage at West Hawk Lake. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Stephens Anglican Church, 220 Helmsdale Ave. with Rev. Donna Mahussier officiating. Ash interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends desire, donations may be made to the St. Stephens Anglican Church Building Fund, 220 Helmsdale Ave. R2K 0V9, or a charity of ones choice. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
