ZEPHIR J. CHEVREFILS April 27, 1911 - May 7, 2000 It is with deep sadness that the family of Zephir Chevrefils announces his sudden death in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 7, 2000 at the Pine Falls Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Delvina, of 66 years of marriage; children, Leo (Olivine), Robert (Jeanine), Annette (Paul), Eva (Florent), Lucille (Romeo), Philip (Susie), Alcide (Jo-Anne), Corinne (Roger) 28 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren; one sister Eugenie Vincent; two sisters-in-law, Rose-Alla and Alice; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one daughter Noella; one grandson Nathan; five brothers and five sisters. He was born in St. Georges where he remained all his life. Dad worked as a farmer and later was employed at Abitibi Price where he worked for 23 years until his retirement. Dad enjoyed woodworking where he spent many hours making wood crafts. In later years, after moving to Foyer Chateauguay, Dad enjoyed bowling, mini golf and pool. His favourite pastime was playing cards with his family. The family wishes to thank Celeste and the Pine Falls ambulance attendants, Dr. Neimand and nursing staff for their care and compassion and Fr. Belanger for being at his side. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 10 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Georges Roman Catholic Church, St. Georges, Man. with Rev. Fr. R. Belanger presiding. Friends may view prior to the service. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Man., R3B 2H8.
