Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH KOSTECKI It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Joseph Kostecki aged 73 years on April 29, 2000 at his residence. Joe, born October 29, 1926 was predeceased by his parents Anthony and Anna Kostecki, his sister and brother-in-law Kay and Barney Kraft and brother-in-law Norman Brown. He leaves to cherish his memory his sister Jean Buhay, nieces and their husbands, Shelley Buhay and Ovide Mercredi, Sharon MacInnes and Bruce Rawdon, Cheryl and Bill Smal, great nephew and wife Jason and Jennifer MacInnes, great nieces Danielle Mercredi and Shyla Smal and great nephew Michael Rawdon. He will be especially missed by longtime and very special friend and companion Marge Lemieux and daughter Marilyn McGee, daughter and husband June and Bob Dudar. Joe retired from CN Rail as an electrician in March 1986 after 43 years of dedicated service. He was a devoted son and generous man, always there to help a neighbour or friend whether it was to shovel snow or mow the grass or be there by someones bedside in the hospital. He was a true fan of all sports but it was the horse races that he had a special love for. We will miss the card games that went on until dawn. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Very Rev. Fr. M. Skrumeda will officiate. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation, or charity of ones choice. "Rest in Peace Uncle Joe" Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements 586-8044.
