MARY SELINA THIBAULT Mary Selina Thibault, a beautiful Mom and a friend to all, is now at peace in the arms of God. She joins her dear husband Nels, sons Wayne and Bradley, her parents Michael and Dorothy, and brothers Joe and Bill in heaven. Marys family and friends are filled with sorrow at her passing. There is also joy that Mary is at peace and in comfort, free from physical woes and earthly cares. In her final days, Mary was tended by her sisters - Dot, Madlyn and Irene, and her daughters Diane, Carol and Joanne, in St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care; Gods waiting room. Much love and joy was shared as Mary and those nearest and dearest to her, including her precious friend, Emma, wished her comfort and Godspeed in her journey to heaven. Prayers and loving thoughts abounded from near and far. Moms dear friends Keitha and Raymond, along with Ike, Norm, Karen, Marie, Bruce, Vince and Corinne, offered tremendous comfort through their words of caring. Marys room was filled with the beautiful fragrance of tulips from her garden and floral bouquets from the Ladies of All Nations Church in Sudbury and the Chouinards in Ottawa. Throughout her time with us Mary gave love and taught love by giving of herself with unwavering commitment. Mary shared many happy times in the company of her large and loving extended family, the Cetchuk-Mason clan. Life presented Mary with more than her fair share of difficulties yet her tremendous inner strength gave her the will to love and be loved. Marys legacy of love lives on in her grandchildren Sean, Shannon, Andrea, Matthew, Korbin, Tarik, John, Jody, Josee and Lesley, and her great-grandchildren Ashley, Nathalia and Sabastian. Marys greatest gift and talent was her warmth and hospitality. During her many years of bookselling with daughter Joanne, she greeted every visitor to the bookstore with enthusiasm and offered the kind of customer service that books are written about. Marys neighbours held a very special place in her heart: Richard and Kit, Jennifer, Samir and Brigetta, Geri and Jack, John and Diane and Hilda and Bill all extended Mary much kindness. She felt so blessed to have their support and care. Marys life will be honoured and remembered at a memorial service at Trinity United Church on Friday, May 12, 2000 at 2:00 pm. A memorial service for Mary will also be held in Sudbury, Ontario in June. Mary loved and embraced prayer and supported the work of many helping organizations. She shared a special affinity with Trinity United Church and was grateful for the tender care at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care. Mary was also proud to honour the memory of her husband Nels through the Manitoba Occupational Health and Safety Centre - Manitoba Federation of Labour. Remembrances of Mary to these, or any helping organization, are welcome. Sweet Marie, such a beautiful Mom to me Sweet Marie, the most wonderful Mom there could be As you fly away Heaven-ward today Your love comforts me
