KRISTINE SIDDALL (nee ROGERS) Suddenly on May 8, 2000 Kristine passed away at the age of 53. She was predeceased by her mother Lillian "Jo" Rogers in 1995. Her memory will be forever cherished by her loving husband of 27 years, Jim; her daughter Allyson (Ryan McDowell) and her son Kevin; her father Kitchener Rogers of Ottawa, ON; brothers, Mike (Karen) of Ottawa and Tim (Leona) Rogers of Toronto; sister-in-law Betty Vass (Dennis) of Peterborough, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Kristine was born on July 26, 1946 in Toronto, ON. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from York University in 1968. She received her Bachelor of Education from the University of Manitoba in 1991. She was currently working on her Early Childhood Certificate at Red River College. Allyson introduced her to Brownies by volunteering her services at camp and Mom has remained an active member of the Girl Guides for 15 years. Mom was an avid reader and passed those qualities onto her family as there is always reading material available. Mom also enjoyed her time helping and teaching others to read better and as a tutor she will be missed. Kristine also enjoyed the times she spent at the Westview Dance Club with her husband and best friend. Moms qualities as a first class teacher are ones that will be greatly missed by not only her husband and children but all whose lives she touched by striving to help others help themselves. A celebration of Moms life will be held on Friday, May 12 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Andrews Anglican Church, 2700 Portage Ave. A reception will follow in the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kristines memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 208-900 St. James St., Winnipeg, MB R3G 3L9 as tokens of remembrance.
