MARY (MARIA) ELISABETH BLACK Mary (Maria) Elisabeth Black of Vermilion, Alberta passed away in the Vermilion Health Care Centre on Thursday, April 27, 2000 at the age of 82 years. She will be sadly missed by her son Allan Black and his wife Shirley, her two granddaughters Kimberley and Michelle, and three great-grandchildren, Sarah, Mitchell, and Grace, all of Oshawa, Ontario. She will also be missed by her two sisters, Pauline Homik and Elsie Bernhardt, her brother Jack Meyers and his wife Nellie, all of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and her sister-in-law Isabel Meyers of Cobden, Ontario, along with many nieces and nephews from across Canada. Mary was predeceased by her husband Ralph Gould. She will also be missed by brothers-in-law Claude Underdown and Frank Gould of Vermilion, Alberta. The funeral service for Mary Black was conducted at the United Church in Vermilion, Alberta on Tuesday, May 2, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Anne McGrath presiding. Interment followed at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, in Islay, Alberta, where she was laid to rest alongside Ralph Gould. Funeral arrangements were carried out by McCaw Funeral Service of Lloydminster, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
