PAUL BAYRAK 1920-2000 On May 8, 2000, Paul Bayrak completed his journey into Gods open arms. He passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre with his loving family by his side. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 56 years, Nell; his children, Ron (Colleen) Bayrak, Diane (Mark) Brooker, Brenda (Brad) Ambrosie; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother John Bayrack and sister Marge Dorozynski. He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Evelyn; and sister Amy. Paul was born on December 16, 1920 in Pine Ridge, MB. He was employed with the C.P. Railway for 41 years until his retirement in 1980. Being a retired engineer, he was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Many of his enjoyments came from his involvement at St. Annes Church, fishing, gardening, mushroom and blueberry picking with family and friends. Pauls generous heart, laughter and smiles will be missed by all who knew him. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at the H.S.C. Dialysis Unit and D4 Unit for their care and support during his treatments and hospital stay. Prayers will be sung on Thursday, May 11 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church at 455 Douglas Ave. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, May 12 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Annes with Rt. Rev. Canon Walter Klimchuk officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Chagnon, Peter Kyrzyk, Tom Malazdrewicz, Voita Matousek, Mike Penonzek and Bill Salki. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so wish, donations can be made in Pauls memory to the Kidney Foundation, Heart & Stroke Foundation, or St. Annes Building Fund.
