STELLA DUMA (nee STEFANIA TURANSKI) December 26, 1918 - May 8, 2000 With her family by her side, Mom quietly left this life to join her loved ones in Heaven. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Joan (Ed) and Carol (Steve) her sisters, Vickie (Bill) and Nellie; other family and friends. Mom was predeceased by her husband John in 1982; Johns sons, Aurel and Rod; her brothers, Leon, Joe and Steve and sisters, Lena and Albina. Mom enjoyed making and sharing a meal with friends and family. She loved her pets, garden and a good game of cards. She was a devoted mother and wife. The family wishes to thank Moms caregivers at the Golden Door for their kindness and love, Doctors, Sheila and Heather Domke for always being there and the staff of the Victoria General Hospital for the excellent care they provided to Mom. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Stellas memory to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation, 2340 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, MB R3T 2E8. Visitation will be held in the chapel of Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (across from the Royal Canadian Mint) on Thursday, May 11 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Friday, May 12 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Bob Galston officiating.
