WILLIAM MICHAEL GELMYCH Suddenly on Saturday, April 29, 2000, William Michael Gelmych passed away at the age of 64. Bill was born June 1, 1935 in the Algoma district of Sault Saint Marie, Ontario to Jacob and Anne Gelmych. Bill is survived by his daughter Jackie Downey and her husband John; his grandchildren, whom he loved very much, Laura and Bobby; his brother Maurice and his wife Margie and their children, Alan, Laurie, Joanne and their families; his sister Patsey Noble and her husband Peter and their families; and great-aunt Nettie Urich, all of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Bill was predeceased by his parents, grandparents and sister Natalie; his second wife Elizabeth. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his special friend Rose Duda and her family. Bill loved children and helping other people and he loved the outdoors. He will be sorely missed by all. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 215 - Henderson Highway, 3600 Devries and Henderson Highway at the Perimeter. All are welcome.
