Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBEATRICE FARTHING (nee Condon) Peacefully on May 7, 2000, at the Victoria Hospital, Beatrice Farthing, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away at the age of 78 years. She will be loving remembered by her son Bob; grandchildren Heath and Rona; great- granddaughter Mica; brother Jack (Sylvia) and family, cousins Stevens, Garson and McAndrew and their families. Beatrice was predeceased by her husband Don, her parents, daughter-in-law Pauline, uncles Robert and Ted Thickins, Aunt Hilda Garson and her favourite dog Clancy. Beatrice was born in Ashern, Manitoba. She was the first of two children born to John and Jessie Condon. Beatrice did a variety of jobs before finally settling into a career with U.I. Commission for over 25 years. Beatrice married Don Farthing in August 1965. She had many interests including needlework, baking, travelling, the Church, flowers. She was a member of The Orchid Society and very interested in her familys accomplishments. Family was very important to her, which was apparent in how she cared for her mother, father and her late husband, as old age and illness infirmed them, catering to their needs. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church, St. Marys Road at Lennox (St. Vital). Internment will follow at Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley St. Special thanks to the staff at Victoria Hospital, M.H.C. and the Golden Door Geriatric Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in Beatrices memory may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Man.
