CONNIE KERCHIN Connie passed away after a brief illness on May 11, 2000 at St. Boniface Hospital. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Michael "Mickey" Kerchin in 1969; sister Gladys; brothers, Reg, Charlie, Howard and Fred. She will be sadly missed by her loving daughter, Joan Johnson and her husband Ken; son Ken; sister Joyce and grandchildren, Cameron, Scott, Sean and Colleen. Her memory will also be cherished by many in-laws, nieces, nephews and special friends. As an active member of Norwood United Church, Connie was a life time member of the UCW, sang in the church choir for many years and participated in various other church activities. For more than 25 years she held the position of church secretary. Besides her church involvement she sang in a seniors choir and enjoyed many summer days at her Grand Beach cottage. Her selfless caring nature was a gift to all who knew her. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, May 15 at 2:30 p.m. at Norwood United Church, 170 St. Marys Road.
