EDGAR CHARLES OSMOND Edgar Charles Osmond of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away on May 9, 2000 at the age of 89 years. Edgar is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Constance; two sons, Bruce (Joy) of Red Deer and Glen (Pat) of Winnipeg, Man.; four grandchildren, Warren (Joanne) of Medicine Hat, Alta., Karen (Tim) of Calgary, Alta., Shari (Mike) and Alissa, all of Winnipeg, Man.; two great-grandchildren, Brett and Markus. Edgar also leaves one twin sister Edith Laslett of Claresholm, Alta.; two nieces and two nephews, as well as many other relatives and friends. Edgar was predeceased by one infant son; his parents, Emma and Silas and two brothers, Fred and Albert. Edgar was born in Winnipeg, Man. on February 16, 1911. He spent most of his adult life in Virden, Man., then moved to Winnipeg where he retired. He then moved to Lethbridge, Alta. where he lived for the next 18 years. In 1998 he moved to Red Deer, Alta. to be with his family. Edgar and Connie were active members of St. Marys Anglican Church in Virden, Man. for many years. They were also devoted to All Saints Anglican Church in Winnipeg and St. Augustians Church in Lethbridge. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at a later date. In memory of Edgar, memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Lung Association, #2 4342 - 50th Avenue, Red Deer, Alta., T4N 3Z6.
