Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAROLD (HAL) FREDERICK PARRY 1927 - 2000 Suddenly, on Tuesday, May 9, 2000, Hal passed away at his residence at the age of 72 years and was of Winnipeg, MB. Hal was born in The Isle of Man, England. After the Second World War he joined the R.A.F. and did a Tour of Duty in Malaysia until his return to England in 1948. He immigrated to Canada in 1951 and proceeded to join the R.C.A.F. to become a pilot. Hal loved flying and became a first rate instructor on T-33s and instructing for N.A.T.O. Personnel at Portage la Prairie, MB. He finished his service in 1957. Shortly thereafter, he moved with his family to Montreal where he lived for 12 years, then moved to Winnipeg in 1969 where he has resided until his death. He is survived by his sons, Les (Lyne), John (Beverly) and four grandchildren, Steven, Colin, Chelsea and Brendan in Winnipeg; a sister Kay Dow (Clint) of Moncton, NB; two nieces, Carol and Sandra and one nephew Peter. A private family funeral service has been held in memory of Hal. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart & Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
