JEAN ANGUS McARA SIMPSON VOKEY It is with great sorrow that we, her family, note the death of our mom, Jean (Jeanie) Angus McAra Simpson Vokey, on her 72nd birthday. Jean was born in Winnipeg, MB on May 8, 1928, and was married to Melvin Gordon Vokey in 1950 who predeceased her in 1999. Jean was devoted to her family, her pride and joy. Missing her are daughter Bonnie Popowich, husband Darryl, and their sons, Dean, wife Cheryl and their children, Jordyn and Zackari; and Andrew and his children, Cameron and Rachel. Son John, wife Christine and their son Christopher. Son Gordon, wife Sandy and their daughters, Megan and Leah. Son Brad, wife Nancy and their son Alex and daughter Cierra. Sister Peg Vokey, and sister Fran Charbonneau and husband Joe. She was predeceased by her brothers, John and Robert Simpson. Cremation has taken place in accordance with her wishes. Jeans lifelong career was her family. She selflessly served as the powerful impetus for the success of her husband and children. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. Jean loved to read, and never avoided a good argument. No one could ask for a better friend.
