Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRUCE KEVIN LOEWEN It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother and uncle, Bruce Kevin Loewen, who at 32 years of age, tragically lost his life on May 5, 2000, in a motor vehicle accident near High River, Alta. Bruce will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his parents Glen and Myrna; his sisters, Audrey and Cheryl; his brother Glen (Boomer) sister-in-law Beth; brother-in-law Brian; nieces, Lyndsay, Lauren and Karlene; nephews, Evan, Cody and Wyatt; along with relatives and many friends. Bruce was born on December 22, 1967, in Winnipeg, Man., and was affectionately given the nickname "Butch." He spent most of his young adult life growing up in the Oakbank area where he attended school and graduated from Springfield Collegiate in 1987. After working as a painter in the autobody trade for several years, Butch made the decision to move to Alberta. During this time he worked for Dean Boriskewich, his employer and dear friend. He eventually acquired his Drillers certification and had currently been employed with Precision Drilling. Butch had been living in Alberta for approximately seven years. He was currently living in Black Diamond on a beautiful farm just outside of Okotoks with his wonderful "landlady and dear companion," Marlene, and her children. He enjoyed going on many fishing and hunting trips with his good friends, Loni and Gerald. Although a beautiful memorial service was held in Okotoks, the family would like to give his relatives and friends from Manitoba the opportunity to celebrate Bruces life. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 17, at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakbank United Church, located at 582 Balsam Cres., in Oakbank, Man. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Bruces memory to CancerCare Manitoba - Pediatrics. Phone 204-787-4143.
