Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAULINE POLLY FILIP Peacefully on Thursday, May 11, 2000, our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away. Mother was born on August 8, 1910, in the village of Czeraiawa, town of Mosciska, Western Ukraine. She came to Canada in 1930 as a young girl with her mother Ksenia and brothers and sisters. In 1931 she married Michael Filip and together they farmed in Libau, Man., for 26 years. The moved to Winnipeg in 1957. Parania leaves to mourn her passing her only daughter Mary Zapototsky (Peter) grandchildren, Gilbert and Sandy, Norman and Janis, Randy, Shelly and Sasha Wood; great-grandchildren, Chris and Mike; sister Kataryna Hnatyszyn; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Mike Filip in 1981; infant son John; brothers, John, Andrew, Sam; sisters, Mary Potiewsky and Annie Kube. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 15, at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 16, also at the chapel with Rev. Cornell Zubritsky officiating. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, Man., R3E 0V9, or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, Man., R3B 2H8.
