Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM GEORGE LILLIES January 27, 1946 - May 11, 2000 It broke our hearts to lose you But you did not go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home. Though your smile is gone forever, And your hand we cannot touch, We will never lose the memory of one we loved so much. Thanks for the loving years you gave us, The happy times we shared, We all pray that when you left us, You knew how much we cared Our family chain is broken And nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, The chain will be linked again. Beloved husband, father, son and brother. Survived by loving family, wife Rose; daughters, Lisa (Tracy) Oliver, Melanie (Patrice), Melissa (Paul) son Jeffery (Lisa) father William E. Lillies; father-in-law Joseph Zubriski; sisters, Laverne Kotelmach (Edward) Saskatoon, Louise Lypchuk (Al) BC, Patricia Stepaniuk, Georgina Green BC, Carol Hocken (Jay) BC; brothers, Randall (Rhonda) BC and Keith (Kim). Predeceased by mother Stephanie 1989; mother-in-law Mary 1987 and brother-in-law Victor Stepaniuk 1994. There are not enough words to even begin to describe Bill or his dedication to living and loving life to the fullest. His action spoke higher volumes than any words could ever express. Bill had been employed by C.P. Rail Weston Car Shops for 33 years until June 1995. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and puttering around outdoors, always finding jobs where there wasnt any to be found. Bill always gave very generously of his time and energy to friends and family. A loving and devoted husband and father who enjoyed life with a happy smile, singing voice and a cheerful whistle. Bill will be sadly missed and will always be deeply cherished in our memories and our hearts. He has and forever will be the wind beneath our fragile wings. Honorary Pallbearers: Doug Somack, Ron Homenick, John Benci and Stan Ward. Prayers will be held on Monday, May 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. A service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, May 16 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church, 3597 Main St. with Msgr. Louis McCloskey. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cancer Research Foundation or St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
