RAYMOND L. DAVID Ray passed away peacefully, at his home in Lac du Bonnet on Friday, May 12, 2000. He was born in Carruthers, Sask. on March 31, 1927. He moved to Manitoba with his parents in 1936 and lived on the farm in Crescent Bay. He worked construction until 1963 and then worked for AECL in Pinawa until his retirement in 1985. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved snowmobiling and was a member of the Lac Du Bonnet Snowmobile Club for many years. Ray never lost his love of cattle & horses from his days on the farm and kept a hand in it even after his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Noella; three sons, Sylvio (Linda) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Louis (Sandra) of Lac du Bonnet, Lionel (Suzanne) of Winnipeg; four daughters Raymonde (Mike) Maher of Timberlea, Nova Scotia, Leona (Kim) Kettles of Lac du Bonnet, Alice McKay of Hampton New Brunswick and Elaine of Winnipeg. 16 grandchildren, Jennifer, Dennis, Anthony, Sara, Kyle, Melissa, Ashley, Jennifer, Meghan, Jason, Adam, Jordan, Christopher, Brittany, Brendan and Jessie. Three brothers Edmond, Hector and Leo; two sisters Simone Belanger and Agnes Beaudette; many nieces, nephews and family. Raymond was predeceased by his parents Pierre and Georgina, brothers, Sylvio, Edmond and sister Georgeline. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday May 16 at 11:00 a.m. in the Notre Dame du Lac Roman Catholic Church in Lac du Bonnet with Rev. Fr. Richard Machura presiding. Rays favourite place to be was home. He loved his family and he loved being a grand-father. He had his favourite story he could tell you about each and every one of them. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. Two tired eyes are resting Two willing hands are still; The one whos always worked so hard, Is resting in Gods will. God saw you getting tired, He knew you needed rest; His garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best.
