Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVERNA DYCK (nee WESELAK) Early Sunday morning, May 14, 2000, Verna Dyck, after a lengthy illness, went home to her Saviours waiting arms. Verna was born June 20, 1936 in the Rural Municipality of Springfield, MB. She leaves to remember her life, her husband Ed of 45 years; son Allan and daughter-in-law Lorna and grandchildren, Rory, Ari and Loralee; son Bill and daughter-in-law Sally and grandchildren, Loris, Ondrej, Laura and Jonathon; and son Darrell and daughter-in-law Lisa and grandchildren, Kiera, Alayna and Holly. Verna was looking forward to meeting her 11th grandchild this coming July. She will be missed also by sisters, Dorothy Tyson, husband Dave; Lillian Pohl; Aggie Pohl and husband Sam. Verna was predeceased by parents, William and Katherine Weselak; her sister Flossie and brother Rudy. Verna lived out her life and her faith with much joy and passion. It was her strong faith in Christ that got her through these last months of her illness. But through it all she was able to always glorify her Lord and praise Him for the strength and love He gave to her. Her faith has inspired and encouraged the many lives she came in contact with. Verna was very busy in her church and taught Sunday School to four year olds for well over 40 years. She spent many hours praying for others, and was involved in a telecare ministry. Besides being busy with her ministry she loved to spend time with her children and especially all her grandchildren. She was always ready with a big hug and homemade baking for them. She encouraged in them a love of creation in the flowers she grew and the beautiful birds that come to her feeders. We will miss all the wonderful time that we had together but we are so glad you are no longer suffering. We are confident that Jesus greeted you with the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant." A celebration of Vernas life will take place Wednesday, May 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Grant Memorial Baptist Church, 877 Wilkes Ave. with interment following in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Viewing Tuesday, May 16 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., and at the church prior to the service. If friends desire, donations may be made to Bird River Bible Camp, 2700 Ness Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1J7. "And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, support, strengthen, and establish you. To Him be the power forever and ever. Amen." I Peter 5:10 Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
