Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGWENETH HAZEL WHITE Peacefully, at the St. Boniface Hospital on May 14, 2000, Gweneth Hazel White died at the age of 83. Gweneth leaves to mourn her loving husband Arthur of 60 years; her twin daughters, Lesley and Gailene and only grandson, Matthew aged 15 years. She will also be sadly missed by her sister Shirley Snell; two nephews, Murray and David; two nieces, Maureen and Marcia; sisters-in-law, Margaret and Mary and many special friends in Calgary, Winnipeg and Chilliwack. Gweneth and Art lived in Calgary when first married, enjoying a small acreage on the Bow River until 1965 when they moved to Winnipeg after Arthur was promoted to Corporate Secretary for the United Grain Growers in Winnipeg. They continued to raise their daughters and enjoy life in Woodhaven by the creek. Gweneth was a very talented woman with her hands enjoying her petit pointe, quilting, English smocking and crocheting. She played piano and also the organ but her greatest passion and dedication was in raising her family. Gweneth was also a great influence in raising her only grandson. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 19 at 11:00 a.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Avenue. Interment will follow in Calgary at a later date.
