JAMES McINTOSH It was with much shock and great sorrow that we learned of the sudden death of Jim on May 11, 2000 in Atlanta, Georgia. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Doreen McIntosh (nee Webb). He leaves his beloved wife Becky and son Danny in Georgia; two sons in Winnipeg, Jim and his wife Nadina and their three children, Megan, Carson and Eric, and Bill and his children, Cody and Haley; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Arlene and Bob Kolton, Carol and Jules Nagy and Marilyn and Charlie Coverdale; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many relatives and dear friends. Jim was born on September 12, 1945. He grew up in Fort Rouge, attending Lord Roberts and Churchill High School. He was employed at the Health Sciences Centre as head of the Pulmonary Function Lab where he met his wife Becky. In 1974 he graduated from Red River College with an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. He was employed from 1976 - 1999 with E. H. Price. During his time with the company he transferred to the plant in Atlanta Georgia as Operations Manager. His last year was spent working for Precision Works as Plant Manager. Jim had many wonderful years with Becky and their three sons. Highlights of the boys growing up years were spent at their cottage at Kenora. He loved his family deeply and his sons and grandchildren were a source of great pride. He had a love for life and enjoyed his latter years with Becky taking trips, visiting friends and relatives, golfing and was always keen on new adventures. Jim was a man rich with the taste of life. Words of wisdom shared often drew much laughter and delight to those closest to him. He was unique and to know him was to love him. In lieu of flowers, friends may choose to make a donation to either the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8 or the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6. There will be a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19 in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, with interment in Brookside Cemetery following a reception.
