Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL CHOLOSKY It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother on Monday, May 15, 2000 at his residence. Michael will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Myrna (nee Still) daughter Lorena (Reno) Gerl; son Phillip; granddaughter Carly; brothers, Joe (Dorothy), Eddie and sisters, Olga (John) and Lily (Gus) sister-in-law Mildred; brothers-in-law, Gordon (Jean), Everett (Pat), Ernest (Yvonne), Bill (Jean) and Gary Still. Michael was predeceased by his son Carl; parents, Karol and Teenie; brother Walter; brothers-in-law, Denis (Lorraine), John (Beatrice), Ken (Diane), August Deptuch and sister-in-law Eldred (Gary). Michael was born in Selkirk, Man. on October 13, 1931. As a young man he joined the Canadian Armed Forces and served in Canada and Continental Europe, receiving a special service medal and an honourable discharge from the army. In 1959 he graduated as a psychiatric nurse and spent over 20 years at the Selkirk Mental Health Centre. In his free time Michael was actively involved with the Selkirk Ambulance Service and the Selkirk Funeral Chapel. A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 18 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 19 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the St. Clements Anglican Church, Selkirk, Man. with Rev. Canon Paul Smith officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. His pallbearers will be Bill Cholosky, Eddie Cholosky, Joe Cholosky, John Ellerman, Orville Marshall and Carl Nixdorf. He will be remembered for his devotion to family and friends, and for his strong sense of faith. He especially treasured the company of his "Darling Carly". Over the years Mike showed great inner strength and courage while coping with Manic Depressive Illness. The family would like to thank Dr. Fuchs and Dr. Hallatt for their support over the years. Also thank you to the Selkirk Ambulance Attendants. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Clements Church. He will be sadly missed and forever cherished by his family and friends.
