Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALLAN BURNBY It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, on Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at the Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 76 years. Allan will be sadly missed by his wife Norma of 57 years and his daughters, Mary, Caroleen (Michael), Connie, Valerie (Dale), Anita and son David (Mona) grandchildren Aaron, Ann, Martin, Karen, David, Amy, Neil, Tiffany, Cory, Darcie, Jerid, Danielle and Amanda; great-grandson Timothy; brother Donald and sister Dorothy, as well as the residents of Kirchhoff Gardens. Allan was born on April 6, 1924, in St. James, Winnipeg, Manitoba, where he met and married his wife Norma. He worked as a sheet metal journeyman later becoming a mail carrier for the post office until his retirement in 1988. He enjoyed daily walks, golf, crafts and woodworking. He was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church and a regular participant at the Faith Lutheran Birthday Club and the seniors group at the parish. A service of remembrance celebrating Allans life will be held on Friday, May 19 at 1:30 p.m. in Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota Street with Pastor Larry Ulrich officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. Our family wishes to thank the nurses, staff, and Dr. Mike Roabe, David McPhearson, and Fraser Barnet at the Health Sciences Centre for the special care given to Allan.
