Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDITH MAE BATSTONE July 24, 1926 - May 15, 2000 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Edie Batstone (nee Harman) after a lengthy illness, on Monday, May 15, 2000, with her family at her side. Predeceased by her son Edwin James Batstone May 15, 1961, her husband Edwin (Ed) February 20, 1983, her son Paul Fredrick May 28, 1987 and grandson Kelsey Brew August 25, 1995. She will be sadly missed by her son Jack Batstone (Jennifer) daughters, Bonnie Chartier (Doug), Lynne Batstone (Hugh), Valerie Brew (Randy) her grandchildren, Kim Charron (Brent), Laurie Guyot (Randy), Stacey Faickney (Roland), Paul Stainsby, Michael and Jackie Lynne Schollie; and great-grandchildren, Brennan, Kaitlan, Julia, Alia and Dylan. Edie was born in Dryden, Ontario July 24, 1926. Edie moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba as a young girl where she met and married Edwin James Batstone in May of 1947. Moved to Churchill where she lived for 41 years, she later retired from the Churchill Health Centre in 1988 to reside in Southern Manitoba. Mom spent many hours crocheting afghans for her family. She enjoyed collecting recipes, poems and writing letters to her many good friends whom she met along the way. We will miss your smiling face and your bright blue eyes. We love you.
