Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLIE WESLEY GOOSEHEAD Peacefully on Wednesday, May 17, 2000 at the Health Sciences Centre, Charlie Wesley Goosehead passed away at the age of 56 years. Charlie was born at Berens River on September 18, 1943 and had resided in Winnipeg since 1991. He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory, two daughters, Barbara and Christine; special friend Mary Traverse; four sons, Riley, Wallace, Lawrence and Carl; four brothers, Alex Goosehead, Norman Berens, Chester Berens and Dulus Berens; stepbrother Thomas Berens; three sisters, Bella Berens, Christine Flett and Jessie Bittern. There are numerous grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Prayers and wake services were held on Thursday, May 18 and will also be held on Friday, May 19 and Saturday, May 20 at the Berens River United Church. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 21 at 2:00 p.m. also at the Berens River United Church with Rev. Roy Bouchie officiating. Interment to follow at the Berens River Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Virgil Goosehead, Kerwin Goosehead, Kieran Goosehead, Riley Bear Jr., Jamie Patrick and Harvey Bear. I cannot say and I will not say That he is dead -- he is just away. With a cheery smile and a wave of the hand He has wandered into an unknown land, And left us dreaming how very fair It needs must be, since he lingers there. And you - oh you, whom the wildest yearn For the old-time step and the glad return, Think of him faring on, as dear, In the love of there, as the love of here.
