Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHARINE ANNE LUMSDEN (nee TRAGER) Suddenly on Tuesday, May 16, Kay passed away at the Grace General Hospital. Kay was a devoted wife and mother. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Len of 57 years; daughters, Bonnie Lynn (Brian) and Maureen; who will miss her sorely. Kay is also mourned by her grandson Ken (Donna) granddaughter Cheryl (Clay) great-grandchildren, Brian, Lucas and Julia; sisters, Anne and Teresa; brother Joe; as well as many nieces and nephews. Although Kay had been in failing health for some time, over the years she and Len shared many activities including square dancing, ballroom dancing, golf and bridge. Kay also enjoyed many years of bridge and Stitch "n" Chat with the ladies of the Newcomers Club. An accomplished seamstress, Kay spent many hours doing clay modelling, knitting and other crafts. Until recently, she was active with the 700 Setter Seniors Club, taking part in cribbage, bridge, shuffleboard and other club events. Prayer service for Katharine will be said on Friday, May 19, 2000, at 7:30 p.m. in John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 3390 Portage Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 20 at 11:00 a.m. also in the church with Rev. Msgr. Norman J. Chartrand presiding. A private family interment will take place at Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, friends may make a donation to a charity of their choice in memory of Katharine.
