Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySARAH BANMAN Mrs. Sarah Banman, beloved wife of Mr. Abram (Abe) Banman of Lethbridge, entered Heaven after a stroke at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 16, 2000 at the age of 73 years. "Jesus said...He who believes in me will live, even though he dies." (John 11:25) Sarah was born on November 27, 1926 on a farm in the Roland Municipality of Southern Manitoba. She went to school at Rosefarm and Grossweide, MB. In the 1940s she worked at her Uncle Ike and Aunt Sarahs little country store in Horndean, MB. Because Sarah accepted Jesus Christ as her personal saviour in her early teens she wanted to learn more about Him and studied a few years at Bible School in Winkler, MB. She then moved to Winnipeg where she worked for Woolworths for 17 years. Then Abe Banman came courting and they were married on January 31, 1970. Sarah gained not only a loving husband but also four sons and a daughter; Steven, Peggy, Virgil, Howard and Ben. In December of that year another daughter, Cindy, joined the family. In 1977 they moved to Taber, Alberta and then to Lethbridge, Alberta two years later. For many, many years she enjoyed teaching children in Sunday School. Sarah desired to serve God wherever she could. Sarah was a Proverbs 31 woman - though she would have denied it. She had lots of love to give to her family and all those around her. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband Abe, and her children, Steven Banman of Winnipeg, Peggy Howika of Winnipeg, Virgil Skye of Picture Butte, Howard (Marilyn) Banman of Melfort, SK, Ben Banman of Edmonton and Cindy (Neil) Nelson of High River, AB as well as seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation at Cornerstone Funeral Home, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Monday, May 22, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at University Drive Alliance Church, 55 Columbia Blvd. West, Lethbridge on Tuesday, May 23, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Scott Dixon officiating.
