SHIRLEY ANN THERRIEN (nee McELREA) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley Therrien, wife to Lou, mother of Tracy, David and Bradley, Gramma to Jennifer, Wayne, Kelsey and Lauren. Mom was predeceased by her son David, and her two brothers, Jack and Bill. She will be sadly missed by her brother Doug McElrea and his family; her brother and sister-in-law Bob (Donnie) and family; her sisters-in-law, Ida and family, Noella Henry and family, Florence French and family, Renee Cadotte and family; also by her special cousins, Gord and Mary Therrien and family; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives. Our family was blessed to have such an angel here on earth to love us and care for us, to protect us and forgive us. Mom loved us all unconditionally. Her unfaltering loyalty and devotion inspired us daily, and her kind, gentle nature touched the hearts of everyone she met. God sent down challenges for Mom, and she met every one of them with compassion for others, strength, and dignity. When God called her son David to heaven 13 years ago, Mom found not only the strength to cope, but to also console others in their grief. Mom suffered in silence as she faced her final challenge, and then God called her to take her place by his side and to reunite her with her son David. We are profoundly saddened that she is no longer with us in body, but our hearts are filled with joy to know that our guardian angel will be forever with us in spirit, and that one day we will all meet again in Gods Kingdom. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 27 at 2:00 p.m. in the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7. P. COUTU & CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 156 Marion Street 949-4864
