Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryISABELLA AGNES (NANCY) DICKSON 1923 - 2000 Suddenly and peacefully at the Lions Manor at the age of 76. Nancy was predeceased by her father Alexander Dickson and her mother Isabella Dickson. Nancy is survived by her daughter Lori Adams, son-in-law Brad and grandchildren, Whitney, Westley and Emma of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her cousin Georgena Murray of Souris and her second cousin James Murray of Winnipeg. There are many friends and business associates whose lives have been touched by Nancy over the years who will be saddened by her passing. Nancy was born in Winnipeg (St. James) November 25, 1923. She entered the work force as a young woman and held many responsible positions during her career which spanned 50 years. She also worked for a time in the USA and Vancouver BC. Nancy was a charter and life member of the St. James Business and Professional Womens Club and a past president of the National Business and Professional Womens Club. She held many offices and completed her work diligently for over 44 years attending many congresses, conferences and workshops including abroad. She was also a member and past president of the Council of Women, Winnipeg. Nancy volunteered in many facets of our society, gave of herself through Habitat For Humanity (meeting President Carter on one occasion). She was a dedicated volunteer to the Winnipeg Literacy Program and assisted in many ways. As an active member of St. James United Church, Nancy was honoured with a life membership for her dedication to her church. She participated in various church activities, was a member of the general board and held several committee chair positions. She was a Sunday school teacher and leader of the CGIT in the 1940s. Her selfless caring nature was a gift to all who knew her. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, May 22 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James United Church, 234 Parkview St. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of St. James United Church, 234 Parkview St. Wpg. MB R3J 1S3.
