MARIA (MARY) TEMMERMAN (nee WITTEVRONGEL) Maria (Mary) Temmerman (nee Wittevrongel), aged 87 years, peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2000 at the Foyer Notre Dame, Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB, beloved wife of the late Hector Temmerman. Maria was born at St. Alphonse, Manitoba May 5, 1913, daughter of Camiel and Zulma Wittevrongel. Except for two years spent in Belgium as a young child, Maria lived in the same general area all of her life. In 1934 she married Hector Temmerman. Maria was very active in the community, member of the C.W.L., community choir, LArche volunteer Grandma at LArche Lorette for two years. Maria leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her loving memory, five children, Zulma (Marcel) Cherlet of Gimli, Anna (Neil) Brown of Cavalier, ND, Yvonne (Lawrence) Delichte of St. Alphonse, Frank (Janice) Temmerman of Swan Lake, Raymond (Fenella) Temmerman of Morden; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Maurice (Marguerite) and Michael (Alice) four sisters, Marguerite (Louis) Claude, Rachel (Virgil) Earle, Madeleine (August) Van Den Bussche, and Clara (Marc) Lafreniere. She was predeceased by her husband Hector in 1978, son-in-law Maurice Maes, brother, Leon Wittevrongel, and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Prayers will be said from the Budz Funeral Chapel, Holland, MB, on Sunday, May 21 at 8:00 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Firmin Michiels from the St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Swan Lake, MB on Monday, May 22 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the St. Martin of Tours Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Marias memory to the Foyer Notre Dame, Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB R0G 1M0.
