Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES CHRISTOPHER AYRE Peacefully on May 18, 2000 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Man., Charles Christopher Ayre, aged 91 years of Lundar, Man. Chris was born on August 7, 1908 in England. He came to Canada at the age of five with his parents and grandparents. He moved to Lundar in March of 1913 where he resided all but 18 years of his life. In 1933, Chris married Gladys Nuttal, where together they farmed in the Swan Creek District of Lundar until 1970. From 1970 to 1983 they spent 13 very happy years in Winnipeg Beach before moving back home to Lundar. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Jane Ayre and one daughter, Linda. Surviving is his loving wife of nearly 67 years of marriage, Gladys; his two daughters, Elsie (Clarence) Johnson of Lundar and Joyce Ayre of Grandview, Man.; two grandsons, David and Michael Johnson; two sisters-in-law, Edna Morley and Joan Nuttal; cousins, Dolly Langford of Winnipeg and Babs King in England. At Grandpas request, cremation has taken place with no service to be held at this time. Grandpas cremains will be interred at a later date in the Lundar Municipal Cemetery. The family wishes to express their sincere thank you to Dr. Burnet for all the years of caring for Grandpa and a very special thank you to all the staff of the Lundar Personal Care Home where he spent the last seven and a half years.
